The Foundation has funded the following:
- Assisted former student with funding for home modifications. The grant helped
pay to widen doorways in her home and build a ramp so she could continue living
at home.
- Assisted student with transportation costs to get to school until the school
district was able to provide transportation.
- Provided funding for groceries to a former student who was experiencing
financial difficulty.
- Assisted with student fundraising for Adapted Scuba trips for ICRE-R
students.

- Purchased an electric door opener allowing a student the independence to
enter/leave his own apartment
- Funded transportation for students to participate in an adapted water
skiing trip
- Gave money to students to purchase clothes after losing all their
clothes to fire
- Paid for student to move from nursing home to own community apartment
- Assisted former student in paying tuition in order to continue his
bachelor's degree program at Southern Illinois University - Carbondale.
- Purchased supplies for students to operate school store.
- Purchased materials to help decorate students' living units.
- Assisted student in paying wheelchair repair costs not covered by
insurance.
- Assisted Wheely Entrepreneurial
Association (formerly, Wheels of Dreams), a non-profit business launched
by ICRE-R staff and alumni, with start-up costs. This business serves as a
partner in vocational training for current students.
